Hope I didn't scare you
Then video games pulled me the other way, and I wanted to build them some day. One thing after another, computer science was the version of both I could actually pursue in Indonesia at the time.
Learning to program truly wired how I see things, I started to become systems-aware, or rather, I reverse-engineering everything. It got a point where I started to notice patterns in pretty much every day things, alas, that’s where I got my system-first thinking.
A photography gig for my university’s student org changed everything, and my mentor taught me design as part of the job. Though I wasn’t good at it at first, at least I could keep up. That struggle deepened my curiosity: I went looking if there’s anything where design meets IT, that’s where I found Human-Computer Interaction course in my Uni.
I then enrolled to the course, and also spent extra hours catching up with friends who already had UX/UI internships. Over time, I learned Design Systems, then DesignOps, and that’s where I am today.
I am currently the Design Operations Lead at a digital transformation program in du.ae, one of the leading telco companies in the UAE with over 9 million customers.

The best way to balance output and morale is a system built by someone who understands people
People love celebrating firefighters putting out huge fires, or defenders making the last-ditch tackles. Though it is heroic, but I'd rather build the systems that mean the fire never starts, and the tackle never has to happen.
My core values
I believe that good design starts with people. I embed myself in the team's day-to-day, their chemistry, culture, and pain points nobody talks about in meetings. I put myself in their shoes to design for the people doing the actual work.
I don't solve problems I don't fully understand. I find for the foundational reason before any temptation of a quick workaround. The goal is always a clean, objective solution that actually fits the organisation.
I build so people don't have to wait on me. When someone needs a fix, an answer, or an alignment check, the system usually already has it. When it doesn't, I will be their fallback.

As Master Oogway said, there are no accidents. My professional growth was forged from hobbies I grew up with, driven by my absolute obsession with planning things efficiently. Watching massive cities function precisely the way it's supposed to are just… chef kiss 🤌
